The single-slide vacuum pump comprises a sealed chamber formed by slide and body cavity, with the volume undergoing periodic changes during operation to enable the suck and discharge of air. The slide's movement is entirely constrained by the pump body cavity profile, where the lift of the profile determines the pump's suction capability; the curvature characteristics of the profile determines the contact stress and slip rate between the vane and the cavity, and the sealed chamber volume change rate, all impacting the pump's volumetric efficiency, vibration noise, mechanical efficiency, and wear life.
In the industry, a common approach is to directly define the cavity profile using specific function curves, representing the motion pattern of a single geometric point. However, due to the complexity of the slide's end shape and its dynamically changing intersection points, there is a significant deviation between the actual motion pattern of the slide and the design pattern. This leads to distortion in slide motion control, resulting in resonance, NVH, wear, and other failures.
APT's Real Motion® profile algorithm utilizes composite integral of customized slide motion functions and slide end shape functions to obtain the cavity profile curve. This ensures precise alignment between the slide's motion pattern and the design pattern, enhancing the accuracy of slide motion control and analysis, and providing greater flexibility in designing the slide's end shape.
Different from the commonly used spiral lines (or similar spiral lines) in the industry, APT aims to develop various new profiles with lower mechanical vibration and higher volumetric efficiency. Depending on actual applications and technical requirements, the software determines the weights of target characteristics (such as efficiency, NVH, wear life), choose specific profile types, conducts multi-parameter optimization after initial design, and ultimately achieves customized optimization for component motion characteristics, contact properties, and pump volumetric efficiency.
Various profiles developed by APT have been maturely applied in the automotive industries. APT can also customize entirely new specialized profiles according to specific customer or technical requirements.
